At Juniper Crossing, we believe in the importance of protecting the sacredness of the client/therapist relationship, in supporting other clinicians, and in providing excellent and trusted resources to our community. In order to honor these priorities, we have developed a contract relationship with a handful of therapists in the field whose values, view of humanity, and belief in the change process align with ours. Read on to learn more about these providers and the services they offer to those seeking out care with Juniper Crossing.

sara sanchez, m.ed, lmfta//she/they

Do you find yourself at a crossroads and in need of some support? While change can be scary, it can also offer new opportunities for growth and insight. Transitions can light up the unhealed parts of us, and make it difficult to discern our truth from the stories we’ve been told about who others think we are. My role in this is to help you discern what you want to take with you along the way and explore with you what’s standing in the way of you living your most authentic life.

My approach to therapy involves humor, honesty, mutual respect, and loving accountability. I am straightforward in the therapy room and passionate about holding compassionate space for you to feel free to explore whatever you may need. I am an advocate for sharing our stories and believe exploring and understanding our narratives can help us better understand why we feel the way we do.

I am proud to identify as queer and find joy in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I am trained in working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I have specialized training in EMDR, trauma-informed yoga, and nature-based therapy.

Whether your worries are something new, or an issue you’ve held close for awhile, I’d be honored to walk with you as you create a new path.

Sara is currently under the supervision of Kayli Cross, MS, LMFT-S. She sees Texas-based clients via telehealth and offers nature-based services to those with access to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Sara does have availability in her schedule for new intakes. She can be reached by phone at 214.617.5688 or by email at sesanchezcounseling@gmail.com.

Cassidy Keenan, ms, lmfta, mft-c//she/her

Hi, Cassidy here. I am passionate about supporting families, couples, and individuals through the highs and lows of life. I believe that therapy can be used to discuss some of our deepest hurts and challenges, as well as be a place to celebrate when things go right. The majority of my work in the mental health field has been providing support to those seeking recovery from addiction, as well as to their loved ones. I strive to provide a supportive, empowering environment to walk with clients through issues related to self-esteem, shame, grief, depression, anxiety, infidelity, anger, chronic illness, relational and community issues, and family conflict.

I work from an experiential, client-centered approach and aim to help you feel accepted throughout your journey in therapy. Through experiential therapy, I pull from different models to help meet my clients where they are at and fulfill their individual needs. Models I utilize vary from EFT, Narrative, CBT, and DBT.

I look forward to supporting you in the best way possible according to your needs at this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you would like to start therapy or have any further questions.

Cassidy is currently under the supervision of Kayli Cross, MS, LMFT-S. She sees both Colorado and Texas-based clients via telehealth and offers nature-based services to those with access to the Denver area. Cassidy does have availability in her schedule for new intakes. Kelsey Austin, MS, LMFT//she/her

Hello! My name is Kelsey, and I can't wait to get to know you. To break the ice, I'll share a little about myself first! Originally from Georgia, I moved to Texas to pursue my graduate degree and career as a therapist. I have a Master of Science in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University, and I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas. I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families cope with grief and loss. This includes loss of a loved one or pet, anticipatory grief associated with hospice care, pregnancy loss, loss of a job, as well as other life transitions. I also have experience working with alcohol and other drug prevention and recovery, working with children/adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families, and providing premarital and marital counseling for couples. I have also completed the Gottman Method levels I & II training and tend to draw from this modality in working with couples.

In my free time I enjoy hiking with my husband, walking and spending time with our dogs, and snuggling with our cats while getting lost in a good book. Enough about me - hopefully this brief introduction gives me the opportunity to learn more about you!

Kelsey sees both Texas and Colorado based clients via telehealth and offers in person and nature-based services to Texas residents with access to the Corsicana, Waco and DFW area. She does have availability in her schedule for new intakes, and can be reached by phone at 404.889.9417 or by email at kaustin.mft@gmail.com.
